Aim
This course aims to equip advisers with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for the effective delivery of advice.
Training Objectives

To recognise how attitudes, values and prejudices are the basis for preconceptions, assumptions and stereotyping that may affect a client interview

Understand the theoretical framework of an interview situation

Develop skills necessary for effective interviewing

Establish with the help and permission of the client the facts, rights and responsibilities of all parties involved

Assess and choose options for action

Calculate eligibility for social security benefits

Apply relevant information to help the client manage the problem
This training Course is accredited by the Open College Network NI. Participants who register for accreditation must complete all casework which requires an extra time commitment in excess of course attendance.
