During the past 5 years Citizens Advice has developed a range of partnerships with a series of public and private sector agencies which provide added value to the services provide by CAB.  Details of these partnerships are list in the table below.

Inland Revenue National Minimum Wage (NMW) Compliance Unit Citizens Advice is funded by the Inland Revenue to manage the NMW Helpline for Northern Ireland which has been used as a successful template for the operation of similar services in Britain.
Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) Citizens Advice is funded by the NIHE to provide money advice to their tenants across N. Ireland who are in arrears with rent.
Northern Ireland Electricity Citizens Advice is funded by N. Ireland Electricity (NIE) to promote NIE Codes of Practice and to provide statistical information to NIE on electricity queries dealt with by the CAB network.
Police Ombudsman Citizens Advice is funded to provide the Police Ombudsman's office with neutral local venues in which interviews with the public can take place.
Grant Thornton Accountants Grant Thornton provides support to Citizens Advice on an annual basis together with occasional training on aspects of insolvency.
Comhairle Comhairle is a major statutory agency in the Republic of Ireland which also supports a network of advice centres.  It is our partner under Peace II funding in an innovative cross border advice and information project.
Northern Bank Three year sponsorship for work on financial literacy.  In the first instance the development of materials for young people, now in the NI G.C.S.E curriculum, a first in UK terms.
South East Belfast Health and Social Services Trust (SEBHSST) Strategic partnership linked to the Trust's construction of  3 Community Care and Treatment Centres within its area of responsibility.  Citizens Advice has responded to the Trust's invitation to provide an advice and information service in each of the centres, linked to assisted internet access.


In addition Citizens Advice works collaboratively with the following voluntary and community organisations to enhance the provision of advice and information services for the benefit of the community.  Details of these partnerships are listed in the table below.

Advice Services Alliance The ASA comprises Citizens Advice, AIAC, and the Law Centre, and co-operates on issues of advice provision in Northern Ireland.
Advice NI Consortium project with Housing Rights for improvement of advice on housing.
Belfast Carers Association Information project for carers.
Chinese Welfare Association Joint publication of bi lingual leaflets.  Provision of race awareness training.
Housing Rights Service. Consortium project concerned with the improvement of housing advice.
Law Centre NI Co-operation via Advice Services Alliance.
NI Volunteer Development Agency NIVDA provides training to the CAB network and has provided a speaker at AGM workshop.
Rural Support Advice and information project for farmers and the rural community.
Victim Support CAB accepts referrals of cases from Victim Support.
In addition Citizens Advice has 79 Associate members.
